To get enough financing for the trip to the Gambia, we organized a pizza auction on the Fontys University campus.

Together with our teacher we traveled to the Gambia to make, install and drill a waterpump/borehole. There we worked with students and local workers and experienced a totally different working mentallity.

For drilling a borehole we needed some clean tooling. The non-rvs steel pipes had been lying outside for more than a year. You would normally use an angle grinder to remove all the rust. Not in the Gambia, here we used tiles and a lot of elbow-grease. Which worked better than expected and is the cheapest most unexpected sanding method.
